What is a stage plot?
A stage plot is a top-down diagram of where every musician, amp, monitor, mic, and DI sits on stage. Sound engineers use it during load-in and soundcheck. Roadie’s free stage plot maker lets you drag and drop instruments, mics, wedges and power, then export a clean PDF.
What should a tech rider include?
A tech rider lists your backline, input list, monitor mix, lighting and power needs so the venue can prep before you arrive. At minimum: band members, instruments, mic/DI per input, monitor count, house PA requirements, and contact info for your engineer.
What is a hospitality rider?
A hospitality rider covers everything off-stage: dressing room, meals, drinks, towels, parking, guest list and payment terms. It protects both the artist and the venue by writing down expectations in advance.
Do I need an account to use Roadie’s tools?
No. The stage plot creator, tech rider creator, and hospitality rider creator all work without an account. Your document is saved in your browser and can be exported to PDF or shared via link.
Can I export a PDF?
Yes. Every tool exports a professional, print-ready PDF. The stage plot PDF includes an auto-generated input list so engineers have everything they need.
Is Roadie really free?
The live show document tools (stage plot maker, tech rider creator, hospitality rider creator) are free forever. Roadie’s full tour management platform—advancing, day sheets, settlements—is separate and free while in beta.
